FireWire (i.Link or DV Cable or IEEE 1394) is one of the fastest peripheral standards ever developed, which makes it great for use with multimedia peripherals such as video camcorders and other high-speed devices. The IEEE-1394 compliant FireWire cables shown allow connection of IEEE-1394 FireWire enabled digital cameras, hard drives, scanners etc. to Mac's (like the Power Macintosh G3) and PCs having the high-speed FireWire interface.
